On September 9, the National World War II Museum hosted a conversation about the Up Stairs Lounge arson, whose victims included WWII veterans who served their nation. Robert Fieseler, in conversation with Dr. Ed Lengel, discussed the controversies in the aftermath of the fire, and the activism that followed and proved essential to the emergence of LGBT+ activism in New Orleans.
